	Big Red of The Desert was born in 1997 as the dream of Caryl Peters, owner and manager. Native Nebraskan, Caryl hails from Nebraska City, just south of Omaha.

Caryl has lived in Scottsdale since 1981 and still heads to Lincoln for each home Husker game. She departs on Friday and returns Monday most always with suitcases full of new Husker merchandise. Big Red of The Desert is open from 12pm to 5pm mid-August through January. During the off season just give Caryl a call whenever you want to shop and she will open up for you. Big Red of The Desert is one of two out of Nebraska Husker Stores, the other is located in Estes Park, Colorado.
